Little Elm Water Filtration, Installed Fitting by Fitting

We install whole-home filtration, water softeners, reverse osmosis and UV water treatment in Little Elm homes. We give the same care to the parts you never look at again: square-cut tubing, a bypass valve and a drain with a real air gap. Homeowners in Frisco and Oak Point get the same install.

Four Systems, Each Installed for the Long Run

We install four systems, and each one fixes something different. Whole-home filtration sends water through sediment and carbon stages so every faucet loses its chlorine taste and grit. A water softener swaps out the hardness minerals that crust up fixtures and the inside of your water heater. Reverse osmosis sits beneath the kitchen sink and forces drinking water through a membrane, and a UV unit uses a lamp to disable microbes as water passes by. Subcontracted master-licensed plumbers handle our installations, so whoever opens your supply line is qualified for the job. When a tie-in, joint or drain connection fails because of the install, our 1-year workmanship warranty on installation-related defects pays for the repair. • Whole-Home Filtration

A carbon system on your main water line that cuts chlorine taste and odor at every faucet, shower and appliance, fitted with a bypass and sized to your home's flow.

  • Water Softeners

Softeners sized from your measured hardness and household use, with a bypass, a code-correct drain and a brine line routed so the system lasts.

  • Reverse Osmosis

An under-sink reverse osmosis system for drinking and cooking water, plumbed with a correct drain saddle, clean tubing runs and every fitting leak-checked.

  • UV Water Treatment

A UV chamber on your main line that inactivates bacteria and viruses without chemicals, installed with the pre-filter and bypass it needs to keep working.

Why the Small Parts Get Our Attention

Most water treatment problems we get asked about are not equipment failures. They are a fitting that weeps, a drain line that siphons or a tank that is too small for the house. Those are installation choices, and we make them carefully.

A bypass valve on every system

We install a three-valve or integral bypass so you can take the system offline for a filter change or service without shutting off water to the whole house. It costs little on install day and saves a lot of frustration later.

Tubing cut square, fittings seated to the stop

Push-to-connect fittings on reverse osmosis units leak when tubing is cut at an angle with snips or not pushed all the way in. We cut with a tube cutter, mark the insertion depth and check each joint under pressure before we close the cabinet.

Drains done the way code expects

Softener regeneration water and reverse osmosis reject water both need an air gap so wastewater cannot siphon back toward your supply. We route brine and drain lines to a proper standpipe or air gap fitting, never jammed into a pipe and taped.

Sized by flow rate

A carbon tank or softener that is too small drops pressure when two showers and the washer run at once, and it wears out media early. We size by your peak flow in gallons per minute and your household's daily use, not just by the number of bathrooms.

Protected where it sits

Many systems here go in the garage, where a hard North Texas freeze can split an exposed fitting. We insulate exposed lines and keep tanks off spots that bake in afternoon sun.

What Moves the Price of an Install

Two homes on the same street can need different work. The price depends on the equipment, but also on what we find where it is going. Here is what changes the number on your quote.

We talk through your quote by phone, then confirm it in writing once we have seen the install spot. We also offer standard professional installation included for qualifying homes, and during that first call we check your setup against it so the quote reflects where you stand.

System type and capacity
An under-sink reverse osmosis unit needs a handful of parts and one cold-line connection. Putting a carbon tank and a softener on the main line means two vessels, more media and a longer tie-in. Bigger tanks and higher flow ratings raise the equipment cost.
Existing plumbing loop
Many newer homes have a softener loop stubbed out in the garage, which keeps the tie-in simple. If there is no loop, we have to cut into the main line and add one, which adds parts and labor.
Pipe material and condition
PEX, copper and older galvanized sections each take different fittings. Corroded shutoff valves sometimes need replacing before we can safely isolate the line.
Drain and power access
Softeners and reverse osmosis units need a drain, and UV systems need a dedicated outlet nearby. If either is missing, routing one adds time.
Media and filter choice
Catalytic carbon handles chloramine better than standard carbon but costs more. Prefilter stages, remineralization cartridges and lamp ratings all change the equipment cost.
Ongoing upkeep
Cartridges, salt, membranes and UV lamps have replacement intervals. We list them on your quote so you know the running cost, not only the install.

How a Job Runs From First Call to Cleanup

Each step has a clear purpose, and you know what comes next before it happens.

  1. 1

    A call and your quote

Let us know what bugs you, whether that is chlorine taste, white crust on fixtures, spotted dishes or a wish for better drinking water. We ask how your plumbing is set up and quote the job over the phone.

  2. 2

    Water test and written report

If you want it, we test your water and record the results in a written water report. It tells you whether a softener makes sense or whether carbon filtration by itself handles the problem.

  3. 3

    The installation

We cover the floor, shut off and drain the line, and tie in the system with a bypass. Each joint gets a pressure check, the system is flushed of carbon fines, and settings such as softener hardness and regeneration time are set from your test results.

  4. 4

    Walkthrough and tidy-up

Before leaving, we show you the bypass, how cartridges are changed and what the control head readings tell you. We take the packaging and pipe offcuts with us.

A Small Company That Cares About the Joints

Water Filtration Little Elm installs treatment equipment in homes across Little Elm and the towns around it. We focus on four systems and on doing the install so it keeps working: the right media for your water, a tank sized to your flow and connections that stay dry.

Our technical habit is simple. We explain why each part is there. If we recommend catalytic carbon over standard carbon, or a 5-micron prefilter ahead of a UV lamp, we tell you what it does and what happens without it. You should understand your system well enough to maintain it yourself.

Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Does my home really need a softener?

Not necessarily. Hardness differs from home to home, and some get by with filtration only. We suggest a softener when your water test shows hardness high enough to scale fixtures, the water heater or glassware. If the results do not back it up, we tell you.

How is whole-home filtration different from reverse osmosis?

Whole-home filtration covers every faucet, typically with sediment and carbon stages that cut chlorine taste and odor in the shower, the laundry and the kitchen. Reverse osmosis goes under a single sink and forces water through a membrane for drinking and cooking, taking out far more dissolved material. Plenty of homes use both.

Will my water pressure drop with a filter?

A correctly sized system causes only a slight drop. A noticeable loss usually points to a tank too small for the home's flow or a clogged sediment filter. We size by peak gallons per minute to prevent it.

Will you have to cut into my pipes?

Yes for whole-home systems and softeners, since they connect to your main line. A pre-plumbed softener loop makes that tie-in easier. Reverse osmosis typically hooks to the cold line under the sink using an angle stop adapter and a drain saddle.

Does UV make sense on city water?

City water is disinfected before it reaches your meter, so UV acts as a backup barrier rather than filling a gap. Some homeowners want that extra protection against bacteria and viruses after line breaks or service outages. The lamp needs clear water to work, so we install a prefilter in front of it and change the lamp on schedule.

Is the installation covered by a warranty?

Yes, a 1-year workmanship warranty on installation-related defects. It applies to the work done on install day, including tie-ins, joints and drain connections. If any of those fail during the year, we come back and fix it. The equipment has separate manufacturer coverage, and the terms vary by product.

What maintenance does a system need?

That varies by system. Sediment and carbon cartridges, softener salt, reverse osmosis membranes and UV lamps all have their own replacement schedule. We put them on your quote and walk you through each change before we leave.
